Unperturbed silence interrogated

The clouds shaded the sky grey,
The world silenced with the rusted fumes
Of dismay

Of the wind that stopped its walk,
In a tick of second,
The glass shattered into pieces,
Its sound reverberating in the static bareness…

The pendulum swayed indifferent
Of the dying day…

The sullen heart groaned in pain…
Mocked by the clock
That spoke of transience
But the world had fallen in a deep dark valley
Of no return
Of no hope…

The pendulum still swayed
Untouched by grievances that moaned aloud…

Eyes tired by the monotonous silenced day
No dusk, no dawn
Just rusted fumes galore…
The vocal chords stitched to muteness…

Hands that flung deep into
Roots of trust of mates…
Were found decayed,
Rotten, withered…
Not sunken deep within but
Wearily wounded over the unreal surface

Prostrated by the fake masks…
Wondering if the world was nothing
But a mirage…

The glass was broken,
The world had fallen…

Yet the pendulum still swayed
With its menacing laughter…

And suddenly the wind blew uptight
Slashed the sky,
Rusted fumes bled red…
Monotonic grey swirled in rage

Yet no one awoke
To this dreaded dismay,
The silenced world slept
In the deep dark valley of gloom
And incapable of change…

No words crept into the swirling sky,
The roots that had seemed your’s,
Shredded in the testing storm,
With hollowness that didn’t moan or cry…
Cause there wasn’t any,
You’d once thought would’ve been….

The sky that broke into fury
Of rusted reds and swirling madness of winds
Exhaled its mocking laughter
Echoing the pendulum’s sway…

Of reality that meandered where you lay,
Engulfing your weary stand...

Muted lips
And clouded eyes
Awake to a new day…

With no broken glass
Deep blue sky, that hid the story of past…
Brightened sun pierced through flaky dust…
And the pendulum swayed
Echoing sounds of realization…
